Infrastructure Engineer A fantastic opportunity to work with one of our growing data insight clients who work across multiple sectors including FinTech. Location: Hybrid working - office located in central London Salary: £60,000 with a total package up to £70,000 including benefits Role description: Enhance, maintain, and refine the company's technological framework across three physical locations and multiple MS Cloud subscriptions. Develop and deploy standardized templates and configuration guidelines to empower authorized teams in efficiently utilizing cloud resources. Expertise in various infrastructure technologies and solutions, encompassing computing, storage, networking, physical hardware, software, COTS, open-source alternatives, and virtual and cloud computing models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). Proactively champion the automation of infrastructure operations to streamline standard procedures and reduce time overheads. Establish and enforce policies for securely managing infrastructure components, including identity and access management, patching, disaster recovery, and ensure adherence to compliance standards. Develop and maintain processes and controls to ensure maximum uptime and swift service delivery to stakeholders for both physical and cloud-based workloads. Implement automation for manual or repetitive tasks to optimize overall infrastructure performance and reliability. Maintain Security measures and protocols employed to counteract threats within solutions and services. Skills / Qualifications required: Extensive familiarity and practical expertise with contemporary infrastructure technologies, including Azure-hosted services and Office 365, covering Windows and Linux Servers, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Yammer, as well as essential Office applications. Previous experience working within a similar role with Terraform is vital for the position, additional to this experience with Palo Alto would be a bonus. Experience in overseeing infrastructure within a DevOps environment, incorporating Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), automation, and enterprise-level monitoring and reporting tools like Ansible, Terraform, Zabbix, and Azure Monitor. Demonstrated hands-on experience in managing IP-based networks, WAN technologies, virtual server environments, cloud services, DHCP/DNS setups, MS Office 365, and SAN/NAS storage systems. Proven track record in utilizing modern infrastructure event and log management tools, coupled with alerting mechanisms and workflow automation, such as Power Automate, Azure Log Analytics, and Azure Monitor.
