You will play a pivotal role in leading a team of both manual and automation offshore testers. You will be responsible for managing the release process, ensuring consistently high standards of regression testing and only allowing code which has been tested correctly during production. Despite this not being a hands-on testing role, a strong background with test execution would be highly beneficial as you may be required to get stuck in and help the team!
You must have at least 4 years of experience of creating test approaches/frameworks covering both manual and automated testing.

As part of our Data Engineering Team, this role will be detail-oriented, and technical Test Manager. Responsible for improving our product's resiliency and working alongside developers to ensure the team provides code that can be trusted and leading a team of Testers including both manual testing and automated test development.
This is not a hands-on testing role, although strong background in test execution is required and you may need to help the team at certain points.
You will be responsible for managing the release process, ensuring high standards of regression testing and only allowing code which has been tested through to production.
You will drive high testing standards, holding engineers accountable for delivering code of excellent quality. You will not allow us to sacrifice quality for speed of delivery.
You will be help to improve our existing unit tests and lead a new suite of integration tests and UI testing.
You will have an in-depth understanding of the Product, and be capable of identifying and prioritising the most critical areas of the product, and where attention is required. This role will work closely with the Product Team, to ensure you have a great understanding of requirements and can then work with Engineering to define test cases.
Key to this is the strategic move towards building out automated testing, and a focus on improving resiliency. While hands-on experience of test automation is not required, a strong understanding of that area is desirable.
Experience of creating test approaches/frameworks covering manual and automated testing to cover
Deep understanding of Unit Testing, Integration Testing and Functional Testing, their purposes and how to run
Extensive experience of testing in BI and Data Analytics solutions
Experience of leading a team of Test Engineers
Experience of working within an Agile/DevOps/CICD development approach, including release management and creating test schedules
Highly performing communication skills with both individual and groups
Self-starting and inquisitive
