Systems manager - Reading- £65,000 (potential to increase for the ideal candidate) (Hybrid)

Austin Fraser is working with an award winning internet service provider. The organisation is now looking to grow and expand their team of Infrastructure professionals, build a bigger network and continue to offer quality and reliable connectivity to their customers.
As a Systems Engineering Manager you will be involved in looking after the operational systems and improving their performance. Your main role will be hands on and you will assist the head of systems by keeping the data safe and developing system strategies. You will play a key part in building systems for monitoring and reporting purposes across the whole company. In due time you will have the responsibility to lead your own team and become a member of the senior leadership team!
Key experience:
- Integrated Task Management Systems (ITMS)
- NMS / NPS / Fibre testing / CGN logging
- MariaDB/ MySQL
- Linux and Windows
Desirable:
- Experience in ISP/Telecommunications company
- Experience as a team lead
- VMWare and any monitoring systems
- DevOps tools
- Networking support certifications such as CISCO/compTIA+/Juniper
