Senior Java Developer | Oxford | £80k
Austin Fraser are working with one of the internet's biggest and most influential names; for a company built on innovation, collaboration and social responsibility.
They are now looking for a Full Stack Developer working in one of our Cyber Security engineering teams, you will have a crucial role in delivering applications that solve our customers' business challenges. Our multi-discipline agile software engineering teams are responsible for the development of critical software components and systems that underpin their Cyber Security solutions.
Senior Java Developer
- Developing and maintaining Cyber Security products
- Solving complex problems and taking responsibility for key design decisions
- Mentoring junior team members and engaging with the wider team on technical topics
- Collaborating across the business to define, design and deliver functionality
- Following continuous integration, continuous delivery and DevOps principles and practices
- Writing high quality documentation
- Investigating and engaging with new trends, technologies, packages and libraries
- Developing relationships with people across the business
Skills
- Strong Java (11+) skills
- Familiarity of microservice architectures
- Competent at designing, querying and operating SQL databases
- Experience of integration protocols such as HTTP, JMS and others
- Competent with multiple services from at least one major cloud provider
- Ability to work from a prototype and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver production ready systems
- Ability to design APIs
- Familiarity with Git version control system
- Ability to understand product development within the context of the business and how products will contribute to the success of the company
