Platform Manager - London - £80,000-£90,000

My client is rapidly hiring and growing in this current market. They are currently operating in 38 locations within 17 countries, making them stand out from the crowd.

As they are growing they are looking for a Platform manager who will help to create global technology products that will provide their customers with the best experience. They want someone who has a passion for technology and who has deep technical expertise across a range of technologise. This individual will need to be happy to be both hands on and have an element of management involved.

What you will do:

  • Lead a team (15% management, 85% hands on)
  • Build and maintain the platforms for software engineers across organisation
  • Maintain a highly efficient service function
  • Build and maintain a service model that balances face-to-face support with automation
  • Deliver regular updates within the team

Skills:

  • Infrastructure knowledge (Linux, Java, React, Kafka, MongoDB, Postgres)
  • Experience as an infrastructure engineer with experience in building continuous deployment pipelines
  • Strong Experience in DevOps
  • Solid infrastructure development background including design patterns, data structures etc.
  • Experiece in TDD
  • Experience in technical leadership with people and projects
  • A passion for people management / mentoring
  • Experience of developing individuals/teams
  • Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent
