Austin Fraser are working with the one of the fastest growing 100% renewable energy supplier in the UK. They the leading energy supplier for customer service and have won a host of awards including The Sunday Times Fast Track 100.

They are now looking for an experienced Software Developer to join their growing team and support their customer base which has tripled in the last 7 months. Description

Use software engineering best practices including:

  • Applying OOP patterns - Applying clean architectural practices
  • Write automated unit and integration testing
  • Code refactoring
  • Code review
  • Actively proposing new ideas about how to solve specific problems or improve the systems we currently have
  • Taking ownership of systems, proactively looking for improvements and proposing new implementation approaches.


Requirements

  • Professional experience writing and maintaining applications ideally two, but at least one of the following: Kotlin, Java, Ruby, Python, NodeJs
  • Strong experience in SQL
  • Good working knowledge of software engineering practices
  • Able to come up with pragmatic work-around solutions to address immediate problems
  • Experience or desire to modernise & optimise existing mechanisms, integrations and components
  • Experience or desire to work in a fast pace environment with a growing number of cross functional engineering teams
  • GIT versioning
