- You’ll be the go-to guy or girl in a highly targeted market, building an extensive database of clients and candidates.
- You’ll own the telephone, chasing down potential opportunities with outbound calls.
- You’ll be a meeting magnet, building a fantastic rapport with your clients and harnessing your business pipeline.
- You’ll take charge of booking interviews and consulting with your clients/candidates from start to finish .

Here’s what the typical journey looks like here at Austin Fraser:
- Trainee Recruitment Consultant (0-9 months)
- Recruitment Consultant (9+ months)
- Senior Recruitment Consultant (18-24 months)
- Principal Consultant (24-36+ months)
- Team Leader (36+ months)
- Sales Manager
- Profit Centre Manager
(All are estimated times. This is a meritocracy. Hit your target, get promoted. Simple).
As a trainee recruitment consultant, you can start earning commission immediately. If money is your motivator, you could earn a lot of it. Expect to earn around £35k in year one, £55k year two and £70k year three. Sound good? Of course it does.
