Engineering @ OMG

As a Software Engineering Manager for the Site Reliability Team, you will be the people and thought leader for the Team that will build, automate, scale, and maintain the OMG platform infrastructure.

The SRE Team works closely with our other software development Teams to build systems and tools that will be used by the whole organization.

Day in the Life of a Software Engineering Manager - Site Reliability

  • Build and mature our SRE Team and their platform management practices
  • Manage our Kubernetes infrastructure - applying upgrades and ensuring consistency in application configuration
  • Improve scalability to support the growth rate of OMG
  • Manage and train our on-call Team to address and resolve platform incidents
  • Identify, debug, and resolve system-level issues across multiple applications and stacks
  • Move critical services to 3rd-party cloud managed services with 99.99% uptime and availability
  • Achieve SOC2 Certification @ OMG


Must Haves

  • A demonstrated track record of steadily increasing scope and responsibilities in software development, architecture, and solution development/deployment
  • Experience developing/deploying software written in Go, Python, PHP, or similar languages and technologies
  • Experienced in working within a cloud-based infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of databases, web performance, and web security
  • Comfortable with fast-paced environments and ability to adapt to changing environments
  • An appreciation for a high level of autonomy and responsibility
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience in eCommerce is a plus
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status required
