Senior Platform Engineer, Winchester, Hybrid - Up to £80,000/Annum.

Hybrid - 2x a week in the office.

My Client is an Industry leading independent investment, and analytics expert, providing advice to a diverse client base across Pensions, Health, Energy, Insurance and Investment. They are seeking a talented engineer to join their Platforms team, to build and maintain an Internal Developer Platform. You will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining reusable components and related DevOps tooling and infrastructure, providing an efficient self-service software delivery system.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Design and develop a software platform that provides a foundation for other applications.
  • Create and manage the platform's infrastructure, tools, and services to ensure it is scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • Design and implement the platform's architecture.
  • Develop and maintain the tools and services that assist other developers building on the platform
  • Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to identify and address platform needs.
  • Continuously improve the platform by incorporating feedback from users and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or bugs that arise with the platform itself or the applications that run on it.

Key Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with the Azure Cloud Platform.
  • Hands-on experience of CI/CD using Azure DevOps.
  • Implementing IaC using Terraform.
  • Incident management.
  • Organisational and communication skills.
