This is a fantastic opportunity within the financial services space which will allow you to work with innovative technology across their expertise in the energy sector. This aspect of the business provides a range of services and solutions to their stakeholders, more specifically energy participants and policy makers, in order to deliver a better energy system transformation. They are now looking for the right person to support the business in the development and delivery of their tech based products. This permanent position is well suited to an individual with optimisation experience and comes from a background in the energy sector or a deep interest in energy. The role:

• Development of cutting edge enhancements to optimisation models
• Working with a range of tools - simplex algorithms to open-source mixed-integer solvers
• Working on a greenfield projects
• Opportunity to lead the development of solutions
• Working with clients
• Exploring new ways to exploit optimisation capabilities

The candidate:

• Strong optimisation experience
• Experience working in optimization algorithms in a working environment
• Experience working on inhouse optimisation models
• Experience in coding language Python or desire to learn
• Experience working with Plexos
• Background in the energy sector is highly desirable
• Good communication skills
