Job Description

We are in search of a seasoned Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will lead the design of electrical and control systems across various projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery. Key Responsibilities

  • Create electrical and control systems designs for diverse projects using EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel software.
  • Produce a wide array of pages, encompassing but not limited to title pages, revision overviews, thermal calculations, machine/plant layouts, single-line diagrams, PLC overviews, and cable diagrams.
  • Prepare reports including bill of materials, wire number labels, cable number labels, and device tag labels using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Facilitate importing and exporting drawings from/to DXF/DWG files.
  • Ensure designs are aligned with relevant codes and standards, including safety regulations (HSE and ISO).
  • Collaborate closely with the project team to guarantee on-time and within-budget design delivery.
  • Offer technical support to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning teams.
  • Proficiency in safety hardware validation utilizing SISTEMA.

Requirements

  • HND in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Over 5 years of hands-on experience as an electrical designer.
  • Familiarity with safety, regulatory, and quality standards (e.g., HSE and ISO).
  • Proficient in electrical and control system design through EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel software.
  • Knowledge of fundamental electrical and control components.
  • Capability to interpret electrical drawings adeptly.
  • Sharp attention to detail and adept problem-solving capabilities.
  • Versatility to work autonomously or as a collaborative team member.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Full UK driver's license.
  • Right to work in the UK.
