Backend Platform Engineer

Overview

A client of Austin Fraser's is seeking a Java/Scala Engineer to join their growing team! You'll need the skills to help improve their payment platform and maintain these systems. Working alongside a team of highly motivated software engineers, the main objective is delivering services that support professional practices nationwide.

If you are a Java or Scala Developer with experience deploying platform services within AWS, let's chat!

Requirements:

• Skilled in backend software development
• Familiar with Linux environments
• Experienced with security-related development practices, cross-domain API access, big data processing frameworks, and additional programming languages/frameworks (Rails, Node, Scala) are a plus.
• Proficient in Java or Scala
• Experienced implementing and debugging large scale solutions in cloud-based environments
• Familiar with distributed programming techniques
• Knowledgeable in MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle DB environments and ORM frameworks
