Network Engineer - Oxford/Remote - £65-75K
Austin Fraser is supporting one of their industry leading key clients based in Oxford who are now looking to onboard an experienced Network Engineer.
You will play a pivotal role in working to support and operate the business' network platforms which are critical infrastructure supporting the core of the internet globally.
Supporting the UK's web services infrastructure, this role would give you the opportunity to work on projects that ensure the continued smooth running of 1000s of businesses. These systems have critical infrastructure that are responsible for supporting the core of the internet globally!
- Proven hands-on network engineering experience (4+ years)
- Knowledge of network protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
- Experience in the configuration of Juniper network devices.
- Experience in the configuration of f5 Load balancers
- Knowledge of configuration management systems such as Ansible
- Experience of a major scripting language (Preferably Python)
Salary: £65-75K depending on experience + 10% bonus
Please note that you will be part of an on-call rota, this will be along the lines of one week in 5 or 6. For that week, proximity to a laptop and internet connection are a must, with ability to get to a datacentre if needed. This is PAID and the team are flexible and sessions can be swapped around with agreement as needed to allow people to meet other commitments.
